Rapid Casting of metal parts

 

Description

By combining 3D printing and traditional precision casting , we developed our Rapid Casting process, Precision Casting v2.0!

  1. Master model – We print the master model in polystyrene. Multiple masters can be combined in same casting three. The casting three will later be the channels through which we pour the melted metal.
  2. Plaster mold – The casting three is lowered into plaster and the whole package is placed into an oven to extract all water from the plaster.
  3. Casting – After removal of water, we add heat in order to burn out the polystyrene master. Melted metal is poured in a vacuum chamber, ensuring extremely low porosity in parts.
  4. Finishing – We offer post processing if required. Machining, painting and measurement reports are available on request.
