Rapid Casting of metal parts
By combining 3D printing and traditional precision casting , we developed our Rapid Casting process, Precision Casting v2.0!
- Master model – We print the master model in polystyrene. Multiple masters can be combined in same casting three. The casting three will later be the channels through which we pour the melted metal.
- Plaster mold – The casting three is lowered into plaster and the whole package is placed into an oven to extract all water from the plaster.
- Casting – After removal of water, we add heat in order to burn out the polystyrene master. Melted metal is poured in a vacuum chamber, ensuring extremely low porosity in parts.
- Finishing – We offer post processing if required. Machining, painting and measurement reports are available on request.
